Its time for a new EcoSoc committee to be elected for the 22/23 academic year 🎉Nominations are now open so please read through this message if you’re interested in applying!

This is a chance to:
🤝 Make meaningful connections with your fellow peers
👔 Showcase invaluable skills to your future employers
💚 Contribute to our cause to help KCL learn about green issues and campaign for change

✨Saturday the 26th of March ✨ we will be planting 250 trees at Honour Oak Park as part of the Big Climate Fightback 🌲
Everything from the trees to the tools will be provided - so simply bring a water bottle , clothing you don’t mind getting muddy and come and help us make London greener 🌱We recommend wearing sturdy shoes, ideal for digging the spade into the ground and firming up spoil. No prior knowledge of tree planting is required, and we will do a demonstration before we get started to make sure that all 250 trees are planted correctly, and have the best shot at surviving for many years to come! 🌿

We will begin with the planting method and introduction at 12, and continue until all 250 trees are planted! Coming at 12 will help us to avoid repeating demonstrations of the planting technique, however don’t worry if you can’t make it exactly at 12 o’clock, come and join in whenever you can! Remember - any help is greatly appreciated and many hands make light work, so bring whomever you can!

The Big Climate Fightback is an initiative run by the Woodland Trust to try and plant 50 million trees in the UK by the end of 2025, so by planting these trees you are not only doing your bit for the environment, but joining a community of planters across the country doing the same!
