It's that time of year - Demand the Impossible 2015 is nearly upon us! It'll be bigger, better etc than ever before. If you're 15-22, please apply; if you're older, please spread the word however you can.

You can apply if you've already done the course - we'll be in need of a few "veterans" to help out.

In October Unite the Youth joined the Europe-wide rally in Parliament Square, because TTIP (Transatlantic Trade Investment Partnership), has been practically censored by mainstream media, and will have a particular affect on young people’s lives:

-Education will become increasingly commodifed, disadvantaging students more so than they already are with raised university fees, among many other issues.
-If TTIP destroys what little remains of security in the workplace like the minimum wage and the right to organise in trade unions, young people starting work will find themselves, again, in an even more uncertain position than they currently are put in!
-The heavy privatisation of the NHS will make unnecessarily difficult the lives of millions of young people and their families who rely on the system, whether it be with regards to regular medication, surgery, emergencies. Needless complications and tragedies that take lives yet to be fully lived are bound to rise if more of us find it harder to access healthcare.

It is ethically imperative for us to stand up against proposals that quietly threaten the most vulnerable. But we are concerned about how little awareness there is among our peers of what this proposed trade deal is about and how it will impact us. So we would like to ask everyone here that we try to engage more young people and their families, working class, ethnic minorities, and other groups that are denied certain privileges, with this issue. The more we all know, the stronger we are against the struggle.
