- this week DONATIONS are being DOUBLED by with match-funding (link in bio) for our work with young people in the community… it all began with an experimental project in 2011 in Lambeth, following the riots, at the suggestion of a prison officer we’d worked with in HMP Brixton who also supported local young people and thought they’d benefit too from our creative music projects, having seen what they did for people in prison. From that pilot emerged the programme in 2012, which grew gradually from a South London focus to reaching young people across London and in Bristol, Manchester and Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Along the way we developed offshoot progression projects and a training scheme, as part of the long-term support we like to offer. Check out our posts this week to hear about the important impact this has had for the young people directly from them. For us, it’s been an absolute joy to see them flourish. Today, two of our Trustees were originally Making Tracks participants 💛💙
