Just came to know that the Hindustani Classical Music maestro and my Sangeet guru Pandit Shri Arun Bhaduri has passed away.

Remembering with a heavy heart those days left behind when I used to visit his SRA ( Sangeet Research Academy) residence in Tollygunge, to get Taleem from him every Sunday. It was a routine for years. Not only did he teach me the nuances of Sangeet but he was a living example of how polite, soft spoken, and down to earth a person can be even having reached supreme heights of accomplishment.

You will always remain in the hearts of every single life you have touched through your humaneness and unrivalled musical talent, sir.

May your good soul find everlasting peace Guruji 🙏

He was 75 and is survived by wife and son. Pandit Bhaduri, considered to be one of the masters of Bengali songs and Bhajans, was suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and other respiratory ailments for quite sometime.
