Southwark Sings is a fantastic initiative funded and supported by Southwark music services.
We provide family music sessions for age 0-5 year olds with their carers .

This session is not just a music class. It is a safe space where families can be themselves, express themselves, find love and support through making music. The music activities that the children experience are important for the healthy development of children in all areas of learning. They will develop specific music skills but most importantly they learn to be part of a group, turn taking, sharing , sustaining concentration and following the flow of the session. It is a chance for carers to interact with their children and support their growth in the class by example and playing alongside.

Friday 25th is the first session back.

When your kids say they wanna give up tell them
‘No’. I am so proud of my 4 children for sticking with their instrument learning until they were 18 . They all dropped off and pursued sport and other things but James and Kemi picked up their violins again after a little break and look what’s happening now !!! I honestly could not be more delighted. I firmly believe that all children should have the opportunity to play music and have the chance to STiCK with it. It can be a source of life long joy for your child and all those who receive the music from them !!
