🌊🏆 Epic Achievement 🏆🌊
Massive congratulations to on their extraordinary victory in the Atlantic Campaigns Worlds Toughest Row Atlantic Rowing Race! 💪🚣‍♀️
This wasn’t just a win—it was a record-breaking, resilience-filled triumph over relentless headwinds, crosswinds, and the mighty Atlantic Ocean itself. 🌬️🌊 Against all odds, they powered through and achieved the largest-ever distance margin between the winning boat and second place - 2 days!🤯🎉
Their journey has been nothing short of inspirational—a true testament to courage, teamwork, and determination. Not only did they conquer the Atlantic, but they did so while raising awareness and funds for a cause close to all our hearts: the fight against cancer. 💖👏
Let’s celebrate their incredible achievement and all the lives they’ve touched through their journey. Here’s to the champions of the waves and the champions of hope! 🌟
I would also like to thank all the people who helped me get them to the statt line, especially . It was pleasure to coach them over the last 18 months and watch them, change shape and build that resilience that was needed both to cross the Atlantic but to also keep up with Mark Slats! The drive, determination and relentless pursuit of the world record consumed him and us over the past 18 months. It was a pity that the Atlantic Trade Winds did not materialise to break the record still hold.
What next? Something tells me there is unfinished business for the big man. Let’s see when we have our debrief.
This was my 6th crew I have helped. Previously, 2 crews have rowed unsupported outside the race on their own in a pair and a single and of the 6 crews, three crews have broken the World Record.
Note to anybody thinking of doing it: 1. Work on your technique and 2. Don’t take too much.

My 7th time walking up the 100-mile West Highland Way with clients. Luckily the forecast has been wrong everyday. We have been blessed with some decent weather. This pic is looking east over Rannoch Moor.
