A fellow baker needs our help ❤️
Today I’m sharing something very different from my usual cakes.
Aga is a fellow cake artist and someone I know personally. Like so many of us who bake, she has spent years creating beautiful cakes and being part of other people’s happiest moments.
Her life changed dramatically following a serious complication after spinal surgery, which resulted in damage to her spinal cord and paralysis affecting all four limbs.
She is now facing a long and incredibly difficult journey of intensive rehabilitation, with the hope of regaining as much independence and mobility as possible.
For now, she has had to put her cake business and the work she loves on hold.
As a fellow baker, this really hits close to home. Our hands are such a huge part of what we do — creating, decorating and turning ideas into something special. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to suddenly have that taken away.
A fundraiser has been created to help Aga access the rehabilitation, physiotherapy and specialist treatment she needs.
