Congratulations to the Nisai Class of 2026!

We’re celebrating every Nisai student who is receiving their AS/A-levels today, because behind every achievement is a story of hard work, determination, courage and support.

For many of our learners, getting to this point has meant overcoming challenges that others may never have seen - such as anxiety, SEND, school avoidance, disrupted education, or simply finding that a traditional classroom wasn’t the right environment for them.

And yet here they are!

Opening an envelope or opening an email. Reading their results. Taking their next step.

For many, this moment marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter filled with new opportunities, new possibilities and the confidence that comes from knowing just how far they have come.

So, to each of our amazing students, please pause and take a moment to recognise everything you have achieved and enjoy celebrating the hard work and resilience that brought you here. And above all, feel proud and hopeful as you look forward to all that lies ahead.

Your future is yours to shape, and it is limited only by your imagination. So dream big and aim high!

As well as celebrating our students, we’re also celebrating the families who have supported them every step of the way, and the outstanding Nisai teachers and support teams who have believed in them, challenged them and helped them to thrive.

At Nisai, we believe every learner is unique and that education should work with that uniqueness, not ask young people to fit a mould.

It was a pleasure to attend and sponsor the Digital Engagement, Social Justice and Alternative Provision Conference on 31 July, organised by Dr Craig Johnston, Associate Professor at UWE Bristol.

Bringing together researchers, practitioners and education leaders, the conference provided valuable insights into how digital engagement can support inclusion, belonging and better outcomes for learners accessing alternative provision.

It was particularly insightful to hear Dr Charlotte Fearn's presentation, "Who Benefits from Online Provision? Rethinking Inclusion in Digital Alternative Provision", which challenged assumptions about how learning works and highlighted the importance of recognising the diverse needs of learners.

Seth Butcher shared valuable perspectives on the challenges learners face in rural alternative provision settings, while Cathy Wassell's presentation, "From Bedroom to Belonging: Neurodivergent-Led Online Provision as a Site of Social Justice", offered a powerful exploration of belonging, accessibility and learner voice.

It was also fantastic to hear Cath Kitchen reference the work of Nisai Education Trust during the conference, recognising the impact that accessible, learner-centred provision can have on young people who may struggle in traditional educational settings.

Finally, Aga Kowalska-Mulholland's presentation on "Inclusion vs Integration" was particularly thought-provoking, bringing together many of the key themes discussed throughout the day and encouraging us to think beyond access towards genuine inclusion.

As sponsors of the event, we were proud to support these important conversations and connect with so many passionate professionals working to create more inclusive educational opportunities.
