The new AstroTurf is in, and it’s already making such a difference. The space feels bigger, brighter and far more usable. We’ll be adding seating and more resources soon, but for now, it’s wonderful to see the children making the most of it!

Children, parents, governors staff and artists came together last night to celebrate the new space, which is already buzzing with creativity!🎨 (We even had police community officers dropping by!)

Our Story

Halley House School was rated by Ofsted as ‘Good’ in all areas in July 2018.

Halley House School in Dalston opened its doors to our very first cohort of 2 classes of Reception children in September 2015. We are a non-selective, non-denominational, co-educational primary free school and welcome children from all backgrounds.

Operated by Bellevue Place Education Trust, the school offers a broad and balanced curriculum with specific focuses on literacy, numeracy and ICT. We focus on high academic attainment and employ innovative pedagogical approaches delivered by the finest teaching staff.

Our belief is that children learn best when they are happy and excited by what’s happening in the classroom; excellent achievements will be a by-product of the education on offer and not the only goal. Our aim is to instil a love of learning in our pupils and provide a solid foundation to build on, in the transition to secondary education and beyond.
