This morning, our NLGS community came together to support the Macmillan Cancer Coffee Morning. Thank you to our parents and staff who brought along such a delicious selection of homemade bakes, and to everyone who joined us, and donated to this worthwhile cause. We were also delighted to welcome Councillor Humayune Khalick, Deputy Mayor of Barnet and Councillor Nagus Narenthira of Barnet, who kindly gave their time to support our event and our fundraising.

What a fantastic way to end the week! Our whole school came together to celebrate Jeans for Genes, raising money for a great cause.

At the Junior School, there was plenty of energy this afternoon as our students took part in a fashion walk! And with plenty of double denim on show, it was certainly a case of “denim-ite” fashion!

Coffee, cake, and a brilliant cause! ☕️🍰
We’re hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning and would love for you to join us for a slice (or two) to help raise money for an incredible charity.

📅 When: Friday, 25th September
🕚 Time from 8:30am
📍 Where: Dining Room

Everyone is welcome, bring a friend or neighbour, come say hello, enjoy some treats, and help us make a difference! We would appreciate any cakes homemade or shop-bought, we’d love either!

As part of our staff INSET Days, our teaching team explored ways to bring project-based learning into the classroom, creating more opportunities for students to collaborate, think creatively and apply their learning in practical ways.

Staff also put these ideas into practice with a LEGO team challenge. Working in teams, they were tasked with building a bridge for a train to travel across. A little bit of friendly competition and fun way to experience the power of teamwork, problem-solving and learning by doing.

We’ve come back and we’re READY! Our teachers and Senior Leadership Team spent a few days together, getting ready for the year ahead. Our INSET Days were a chance to come together, hear from our Headteacher, Mr Adak, share ideas and prepare for the return of our students.
