At NLGS, we believe in pushing boundaries and our Year 7 and 8 students proved exactly that in the Junior UK Mathematics Trust Challenge.
We are delighted to share that 23 students were awarded a total of 4 Gold, 6 Silver, and 13 Bronze medals. An outstanding achievement!
Special congratulations to our 4 Gold and 2 Silver medallists, who have qualified for the prestigious Junior Kangaroo follow-up round on 9th June.
We couldn’t be prouder. Good luck to all six students, and congratulations to everyone who took part.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Leigh-Ann Morris and Sherrie Wilson from Bede's Senior School . It was a fantastic opportunity to share insights into our GCSE pathways, enrichment programmes, pastoral provision, University Foundation Program, and International Greenwich Olympiad, while exchanging ideas around supporting students to thrive academically and personally. Thank you for visiting, we look forward to building on the conversation and strengthening future collaboration.

Today, our Reception students have been busy as little chefs, creating their own smoothies by blending a variety of fresh ingredients. The activity sparks creativity while developing essential skills, including coordination, following instructions, language development and understanding of measurements.
Each week, students take on a new recipe, and the highlight is the chance to taste what they have made. This not only introduces them to new flavours but also helps build confidence and curiosity with different ingredients.

This weekend NLGS hosted the International Greenwich Olympiad (IGO) online competition!
Congratulations to all the participants who joined and presented their projects to us. It was not an easy journey, but you did it and we are proud of every one of you.
Special thanks to all parents, supervisors, teachers, and coordinators for your support and encouragement though this experience.
We hope this opportunity inspires all our students to continue exploring, innovating, and achieving even greater things in the future!

We were lucky enough to enjoy a live science experience in our Junior School - watching eggs hatch into chicks right before our eyes! 🐣✨
Students observed the eggs in an incubator, learned about life cycles, and saw first-hand the patience and care it takes to nurture new life.
A magical moment and a Science Week experience we won’t forget!

On Friday, our whole school came together to take part in our annual Sports Day. Students competed in a range of track and field events. It was wonderful to see them giving their best, cheering each other on, and showing great team spirit throughout the day. Thank you to our staff, parents, and fellow students for the incredible support and encouragement. 👏🏼
Congratulations to all participants who proudly earned medals for their school house groups - a brilliant effort from everyone involved.

This week, our school came together in assemblies and classroom to mark VE Day — Victory in Europe Day. A moment in history that signalled the surrender of N**i Germany and the end of nearly six years of World War II in Europe.
Today we pause to reflect, remember, and honour the resilience, sacrifice, and courage of those who lived through it.
