This is a vibrant school with four departments, each bringing something new and exciting to compliment the School of Health & Social Care.
~ The Department of Psychology & Counselling at Greenwich has a strong record of delivering high quality courses, research and consultancy. Some programmes within this department have been accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
~ The Department of Social Work & Health Development specialises in delivering courses which prepare individuals to work in the community in health related disciplines. There programmes within the department that can lead to registration with the Health Professions Council (HPC).
~ The Department of Family Care & Mental Health is multi-professional, involving the disciplines of social work, midwifery, and nursing, including learning disability, mental health and children's nursing. The department has a pool of Honarary Lecturers and seconded staff to deliver specialist provision in social work, learning disability and mental health (CBT).
~ The Department of Acute & Continuing Care has staff with a wide variety of clinical expertise including primary care, critical care, medical and surgical specialities. Staff devise and run a range of pre-registration and post qualifying courses that reflect the acute and continuing care clinical expertise in the department, whilst trying to reflect the changing boundaries between acute and primary care.
