We’re delighted to announce that Mrs Wordsmith is collaborating with Conexus Tuition Canary Wharf and Ladbroke Grove, working closely with their expert tutors to shape and refine Word Tag for real learning environments. Their feedback will help ensure our game-based vocabulary programme works for both students and tutors.

We know that "Vocabulary is a huge predictor of how far children from any background will succeed at school and beyond” (Oxford Language Report - 2018), yet it’s one of the areas children struggle with most.

By working directly with experienced tutors, we’re able to test Word Tag in real teaching contexts and refine how it supports meaningful, repeatable vocabulary use. This approach is already showing impact: in a 2022 study led by Dr Shawn Stafford, children using Word Tag improved their vocabulary test scores by 43% after just four weeks of play.

This collaboration helps us stay focused on what matters most — tools that fit naturally into teaching, engage learners across abilities, and genuinely help words stick.

Another day, another great message from our parents!
