Top Tots Day Care & TT2

A little treat today for tea. Sugar free pancakes with fruit, made all by our Top Tots 😋
They measured the ingredients, popped them in their bowls, whisked and mixed being careful not to spill it.
They listened intently as we worked alongside each other to create our fluffy, tasty treat.
At tea, the children chose the fruit each of them wanted to compliment their tasty snack 👨‍🍳👩🏿‍🍳.👨🏾‍🍳👩🏼‍🍳

It might have turned colder this week, but that didn't stop our Top Tots getting outside and enjoying some ice play...
We started with an ice dome filled with citrus fruit.
Our Top Tots said it smelt "fantabulas"
We tried lots of different tools to break the lemons and limes free using our finer motor skills and lots of concentration too.
It took us all morning to pick and saw, chisel and dig till all the slices were out....

We have a new little project starting today as part of our wider community.
Every one of our Top Tots will be planting some seeds and bringing them home to look after them 🌷
We are joining forces with Wesley Hall Methodist Church, Plumstead and they have invited us to help them plant out the garden at their open day on the 13th June.
At the open day we have also been invited to have our Top Tots sing which will be lovely.
We can't wait to help create something special on the 13th June 🪴🌹🪴🌻

Sad day today as we say goodbye to our Totter Sandra as she embraces her next chapter of retirement.
Out Top Tots, Totter Team and families have loved Sandra's calm, caring nature in nursery, and we will miss her lots
So please join us in wishing her lots of love and heartfelt good wishes 🤩

The sun as been kind to us this week and our Top Tots love being in the garden.
Being outdoors just adds so much more to our learning environment and the children definitely enjoy it.

So bring on the sunshine 🌞 we love it 😍

We had a very emotional afternoon today.
Kellie brought her London Marathon top and number in to show the children and talk about her challenge on Sunday.
Little did she know, our Top Tots had been secretly working on their flags and banners to wave her on.
Needless to say, she was overwhelmed with the love and support and we had a few tears.
We know Kellie is going to smash it on Sunday and that the whole Top Tots family will be willing her on.
So if you guys are out watching on Sunday, she is on the route through Charlton Village before rejoining the second pack at the barracks to head down to the ferry.
So watch out for her, and if you spot her, give her a loud "PUMPKIN" shout 😉
