⚽ A huge moment for girls’ football.
More than 9,000 young people took part in the Premier League Primary Stars National Girls Football Tournament this year, a brilliant milestone for the future of girls’ sport.
Last week, 20 finalist schools came together to represent their local clubs and experience the unforgettable – walking out onto a Premier League pitch, competing in official kits, and standing proudly beside the iconic Premier League Trophy. But the real impact goes beyond the pitch.
For many girls, the tournament has been a game-changer! Building confidence, inspiring ambition, and opening new possibilities. Just listen to this young player’s experience:
“Taking part in this has built my confidence. I used to be really scared of playing against different people, but I don't feel like that now. In our school, I am people leader which is someone who represents your class. Football gave me the confidence to go for that role.”
