October half-term is fast approaching and I have my Top Tips sessions for GCSE English students ready to go on Tuesday 21, Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 October. They are focused on how to answer extract, non-extract and comparison questions. These are lessons which create a solid foundation and lets students focus on the text. There are two sessions on each day and if that doesn't work, I have the video option available too. If you know a GCSE family, please share. Here to help!

I am starting a Pre GCSE Tutor hour on Thursdays at 6.15 pm. Students can join in person or online. This is mainly targeted at Year 8 and Year 9 students as they move towards GCSEs. This session will target those barriers to progress that I have seen in GCSE classrooms: being intimidated by Shakespeare's language, thinking that poetry is "boring", not quite knowing how to elevate a creative story and hearing the word "analyse" and starting to hyperventilate!
I hope that I can help so if my description sounds familiar, please do get in touch or share.

Time change for my revision sessions! I had scheduled them too early for most students. Silly me. So, I have moved the sessions back by one hour. The first session every Wednesday is now 5 pm and the second 6 pm. A Christmas Carol and Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde set the sessions rolling on Wednesday.
Please share this link with anyone you think might benefit.
