This one meant a lot ❤️
We feel so grateful to be part of their story.

A little look at frogs…exploring the lifecycle and watching how something so small can change into something completely different.
What started as a tray of chia seeds soon became a pond full of tiny tadpoles about to embark on an exciting transformation!

Rainbows, lucky charms, shamrocks, cheeky leprechauns and a whole lot of green for our St Patrick’s Day celebrations….sorry, we really ought to say…wee bit o’ shenanigans 🍀
The children loved the St. Patrick Day themed activities, learning about the traditions, wondering where that gold might be hiding!

“After a whole year of waiting, it’s finally Spring’s turn to wear the Weather Crown and create her own special season. Her friends can all remember how beautiful spring was last time.”
After reading Hello Spring, we started thinking about how the seasons change and what we might begin to notice… the colours, the flowers, “butterflies flitting and birds swooping”. Such a charming, enchanting book that led us into conversations about baby animals and the magic of springtime.

Such a busy (and mucky!) little construction site!
This tuff tray, filled with diggers, stones and a sludgy sandy building zone, kept the children busy scooping, pouring and transporting the sand, carefully loading up their trucks and delivering it across their site.
This kind of play supports:
🚜 Fine motor skills
🚜 Hand eye coordination and control
🚜 Imaginative role play and storytelling
🚜 Early maths ideas like full/empty, heavy/light and counting stones
🚜 Embracing the mess! Letting creativity and imagination take over
A very hardworking crew all round!

A little trip into the story of Goldilocks for World Book Day.
Our tuff tray set up gave everyone the chance to step right into the story and add their own ideas along the way. Meanwhile the porridge tasting caused quite a debate… turns out everyone has very different ideas about what counts as just right!

With the sun peeking out from time to time, it really feels like spring is upon us. Taking inspiration from the flowers beginning to appear in the garden, we set up a simple still life painting activity using daffodils for the children to observe and paint.
Our budding Picassos got to work, studying the daffodils very seriously before creating their own masterpieces 🌼

A great activity for developing personal, social and emotional skills, as well as some general splashy fun… it was bath time at preschool.
Washing, splashing and perhaps a tad enthusiastic with the bubbles…all in the interest of doing an exceptional job and making sure the babies were sparkly clean.

Out in the neighbourhood on the most serious of business… detecting signs of spring!
Clipboards in hand, the children carefully observed flowers and plants, noticing what changes they could spot along the way.
After careful investigation, the detectives reached their conclusion… spring has indeed sprung!!
