When I look back at my breakup, I can't help but think it was a blessing in disguise. It was very toxic and has continued for nearly two years to the point their actions are impacting the children. The amount of energy and effort they put into it is literally insane.

Sometimes the truth takes time to surface.
When a parent makes false allegations, withholds children, or tries to turn them against the other parent, it can feel unbearable. The fear, the helplessness, the nights spent wondering if you will ever be seen for who you really are. But the system, slowly and imperfectly, does learn to recognise patterns. Lies have weight. Manipulation leaves marks. And truth, even when buried, has a way of rising.
What many never expect is this: those actions can turn the tables. The parent who tried to control the narrative may now face losing custody themselves. The parent who stayed calm, consistent and child-focused can find they stand on the brink of something they never imagined – even the chance of becoming the primary, or sole, carer.
If you are the parent who kept showing up, who chose dignity over retaliation, you are doing the right thing. You are not weak for holding your ground. You are strong for protecting your children’s emotional safety, even when yours is under attack.
Alienation may be loud. Control may feel powerful. But it is not sustainable.
What endures is consistency. Love. Patience. Integrity.
Children grow. They notice. They remember who made them feel safe without conditions. They remember who didn’t need to rewrite reality to be loved.
So if today feels heavy, let it be heavy. But don’t let it convince you that you are losing. You may be closer than you think to giving your children the stable, honest home they deserve.
You are building trust.
And that always outlasts lies.

When someone crosses a line they should never have crossed, it’s okay not to forgive them and to keep them out of your life. Protecting your boundaries is how you make space for the right people. Surround yourself with positivity, and those positive people will quietly change your life for the better, often without you even realising it.
Be around people that talk about opportunities not problems
Happy New Year everyone, we hope you all have a lovely time, and 2026 becomes your year!

Nothing beats a lazy morning in bed, heating on, coffee, and a bit of stranger things
Turning the whole house into a smart home uncovered some hidden gems and a bit of learning.
When it comes to the wiring in my house, like most it was built before the wiring code changed, so you'll have live going into a light switch with live coming out, but the cable coming out is black not red. And no it's not neutral.
I also got a couple of sonoff modules with neutral terminals, however your light switches are wired without a neutral. The modules will still work but you wire them into the ceiling rose instead which has a neutral.
Sonoff modules work by passing through a small current, so led lights that are less than 20w for example will cause you issues. You can either buy a bypass capacitor or simply replace the bulbs.
The nice thing about the latest sonoff switches are they are very small so they go in the ceiling rose or light switch itself and can't be seen.
Once iv done the lights, I'll do the heating, then cameras for human detection so everything can be automated, and the staff that I don't want automated can be controlled by routines or using the control panel.
