A lovely bit of Mini Mozart news. 🎉

We’re delighted to welcome as a new sponsor of our Bursary Programme.

They’ll be supporting our venues in Marylebone, St John’s Wood, Notting Hill, Chelsea and Clapham, helping to fund bursary places for local families.

Because of their support, five children from families receiving Universal Credit will have a guaranteed place at Mini Mozart, with access to weekly live music classes and all the joy, routine and connection that comes with them.

It’s a very practical kind of generosity: local businesses helping more children experience live music, without cost being the thing that keeps them out of the room. Exactly the sort of partnership we love.

This week at Mini Mozart, we’re exploring Peter and the Wolf. Prokofiev’s brilliant musical story where every character has their own theme - Peter, the duck, the bird, the cat, Grandfather and, of course, the wolf.

Children begin to notice those musical patterns. They hear a theme, connect it to a character and start to anticipate what might happen next.

Which is quite a big musical idea.

In class, it mostly looks like bouncing, waddling, tiptoeing and doing a very theatrical “oh oh!” when the wolf appears.

That’s the joy of live music for little ones. They don’t just hear the story. They feel it, move with it and join in.

Baby class? Toddler class? Babies & Toddlers Together?

Tiny child admin can feel surprisingly existential, so here’s the rough guide:

Baby classes are for 0–15 months or until your child is confidently toddling about.

Toddler classes are for confident walkers aged around 16 months–4 years.

Babies & Toddlers Together classes are for 0–4 years, with the teacher adapting the class to whoever’s in the room.

Toddlers can’t come to baby classes - mostly so babies can lie down calmly without being lovingly trampled by very enthusiastic small people.

Still not sure? You know your child best, so give a class a try and if another class turns out to be a better fit, we can help you switch. 🎵

Chicken Licken is coming to Mini Mozart this week, with one worried chicken, one suspicious acorn and a story brought to life through live music.

There’ll be plenty for little ones to hear, move to, notice and join in with - even if this is their very first farmyard crisis. 🐓

For most venues, it’s our last class before half-term, so come and join us this week.

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week and we’ve been thinking about the small actions that help us feel more connected.

Sometimes that action is simply leaving the house, sitting in a room with other families and letting someone else be in charge for a while.

Mini Mozart is live music for babies, yes.

But it’s also familiar faces, small weekly rituals and a reminder that being together in real life still matters.
