TikTok just introduced a new feature to help Songwriters get more visibility on platform.

Here’s how it works:

In an effort to help those behind the scenes get more credit for their work, TikTok recently implemented new features to help songwriters brand themselves.

These features range from profile branding and music branding.

Profile branding

Songwriters now have the option to designate their profile as “Songwriter” - previously only Artists had the ability to designate their profiles as artists.

Music branding

To take it a step further, TikTok also allows songwriters to denote what music they’ve worked on. Their profiles can now have a music tab where they can highlight songs they’ve worked on.

Today we celebrate 14 years of VSA (Vocalist Songwriters Alliance) aka Lovevocals.com!
From day one, we were just a group of professional vocalists and songwriters looking to connect, share, and support each other. But along the way, we discovered something important, parts of the music industry weren’t working in our favor.

Within just weeks, our little family in this private group grew to 300 members, united in one voice, demanding better for singers and songwriters everywhere. We stood up for fair pay, fair contracts, and the respect artists deserve. Along the way, we realized there was a huge gap for music producers too, and that the industry wasn’t always working in our favor. We wanted to create a safe, welcoming community where ALL artists could thrive.

After a quiet period, we came back stronger than ever, with LoveVocals.com. A platform built to celebrate singers and songwriters, to educate about the industry, to help artists collaborate safely, and to continue fighting for fair treatment and opportunities.

We know not everyone sees the massive work happening behind the scenes, but please know, every step has been for you, our amazing community.
