Today, Whitgift students are celebrating an outstanding set of GCSE results.

✅ 42% of all grades awarded at Grade 9
✅ 69% of grades awarded at Grades 8-9
✅ Over 1,500 grades at Grades 8-9
✅ 88% of grades achieved at Grade 7 or above

These excellent results reflect the hard work, determination and talent of an exceptional cohort, whose achievements extend far beyond the classroom through sport, music, drama, leadership and service to the community.

Congratulations to all our students, and thank you to the families and staff whose support has helped make today possible.

Whitgift’s House system was introduced in 1904 to create a fairer and more effective way of awarding points across the School. Students were divided into Houses that they remained in throughout their time at Whitgift, competing initially in Sports and the CCF under a dedicated Competitions Committee.

Five of the original Houses have been in existence for over a century, with Ellis’ and Brodie’s added in 1963. Today, Houses continue to foster leadership, tradition and encourage friendly competition!🏆
