The PMP course was an excellent experience and served as a valuable refresher of project management principles, frameworks, and best practices.

A special mention must go to Phil, who delivered the course exceptionally well. He was patient, engaging, and always welcomed questions. Rather than simply teaching the material, he consistently encouraged us to test our knowledge by presenting scenarios, asking thought-provoking questions, and challenging us to apply what we had learned in practical situations.
This approach made the learning experience both enjoyable and effective.

One of the main reasons I signed up for the course was the opportunity to gain hands-on experience by supporting real organisations. This proved to be one of the most valuable aspects of the programme. Being able to apply the concepts learned in a practical setting helped reinforce my understanding and build confidence.

A Training Plus Programme!

After being made redundant, I spent several months actively applying for roles using a CV I had paid to have professionally written, but I wasn’t getting any results. I then decided to take a professional break to focus on my family. During that time, I continued to look for work on and off, but after about a year I was ready to return fully—mainly for financial reasons.

That was when I came across Detovo. The TrainingPlus programme was on sale at a giveaway price which I truly believe was a bargain and an absolute steal considering what was included: PMP training, CV writing, interview support, volunteering opportunities, and ongoing guidance. I personally refer to it as the TrainingPlus programme because it genuinely delivers training plus so much more.

I decided to join and started the programme in September. I was fortunate to have a fantastic trainer, Philip Livingstone Philstone Emmanuel. I completed my 1-to-1 sessions and CV work straight away, which allowed me to start applying for roles while completing the training at the same time.

I was also able to volunteer with one of Detovo’s charity affiliates, which really helped me get back into “work mode” and apply the training immediately in a real-world setting. In just over a month, I secured two interviews and successfully landed a role as a Scrum Master.

Even with my background, the training provided exactly the right level of support to help me rebuild confidence, refocus professionally, and re-enter the job market, even though the market was still rough. Being surrounded by like-minded people working towards a common goal was also incredibly motivating.

I would strongly recommend this training to anyone, regardless of their level of experience. With the combination of training, volunteering, and prayer, I was able to secure a role in less than two months of starting the programme. I am yet to sit my exam, but I can confidently say the TrainingPlus initiative is worth every penny.
