The Mayo School of Astrology offers Certificate in Astrology Course and Diploma in Astrology Course through distance learning, and is recognised as one of the foremost and internationally acclaimed astrology correspondence schools. Established in 1973 by Jeff Mayo the school is based in London, UK and provides online study to students around the world. We pride ourselves on offering a broad syllabus of astrological education which gives a thorough grounding in the essentials of astrology, whilst at the same time ensuring our courses are enjoyable and stimulating for students. Monday 5 January 2026, 6.30pm - 8.00pm

The year starts with the conjunction of Saturn and Neptune at 0 degrees of Aries, and the year continues with the Uranus-Pluto trines – the first since their conjunctions in the mid-1960s. Uranus will move back into Gemini and Chiron will ingress into Ta**us. Come along to this free talk to discuss the new fire and air era which will reset and then pole vault us out of these darker times and into something more fresh, new, light, albeit a little crazy.

Wow! What an incredible day yesterday was. It was the last day of the course for our in person students! Their graduation, and the opening for the Mayo School Annual Conference!

Yesterday was a challenging day for the students, going deeper into major configurations and putting together all their tools from the past few weeks. The students all worked so well together and came up with some really interesting perceptions of the charts given.

Sue Tompkins became entranced with astrology c.1972 and has been a consultant and teacher since. She is also a practicing and registered homeopath and trained counsellor.

Her books, ‘Aspects in Astrology’ (1989) and ‘The Contemporary Astrologer’s Handbook’ (2006), continue to be best-selling titles.

In a survey of global professional astrologers’ favourite ten books ‘Aspects in Astrology’ came first.

She lectures globally and is perhaps the most widely studied western astrologer in China.

Wendy Stacey is the principal of the Mayo School, Chair of the Astrological Association, and tutor on the MA Cultural Astronomy and Astrology programme at the University of Wales.

She is a writer, researcher, presenter, event organiser but her clients and students remain at the heart of her love for astrology as a consultant and educator.

In 2014 Wendy received the Charles Harvey award for ‘Exceptional Service to Astrology’.
