They offered services like bloodletting, cupping, amputations, and teeth extraction. Barber surgeons, without formal university training, treated tooth decay by pulling teeth, made false teeth from cow bone and human teeth, and filled cavities. They performed minor surgeries, amputations, and bloodletting using their sharp blades.
