ICAVI- International Coalition Against Violence in Iran was established in 2009 to promote peace and teach non-violence and co-existence.
The International Coalition Against Violence in Iran (ICAVI) is established by a number of Iranians who believe in the need to stop the growing violence in Iran. The coalition enjoys the support of individuals, groups and organisations who uphold the universal and indivisible principles of human rights as enshrined in the United Nations Human Rights Charter. ICAVI rejects all violent and repressiv
e acts, be they institutional, legal, physical, psychological, or verbal as a means of attaining social, political, cultural or personal goals at the expense of individuals of all backgrounds, groups (such as women and children), or ethnic and religious minorities. o ICAVI is against capital punishment and denounces extreme forms of it as practiced in Iran, such as stoning to death and will strive to abolish it. It also denounces state-sponsored murders, kidnapping, detention, r**e, torture and imprisonment without trial or trials without the presence of a lawyer and long sentences without legal justification. o ICAVI believes that state’s institutionalisation of violence, regardless of its forms and degree, legitimises the proliferation of traditional, socio-cultural forms of brutality and encourages crime and criminality in Iranian society.
ائتلاف بین المللی علیه خشونت در ایران (ایکاوی) توسط جمعی ار ایرانیان که معتقد به ضرورت مبارزه علیه خشونت گسترده و رو به افزایش در ایران هستند و با پشتیبانی افراد ، گروهها و سازمانهائی که به حقوق بشر بعنوان امری جهانی و غیر قابل تفکیک مطابق با منشور سازمان ملل باور دارند، تاسیس شده است.
ایکاوی با هرگونه عملکرد خشونت امیز در قالب عرفی، حقوقی، جسمانی، روانی، کلامی و یا بصری که بعنوان ابزار سرکوب اجتماعی، سیاسی، فرهنگی و یا فردی (از هر رده اجتماعی) یا هر گروه (زنان و کودکان) و یا اقلیت های مذهبی و قومی بکار گرفته شود مخالف است.
ایکاوی مخالف اعدام است و اشکال افراطی انرا (نظیر سنگسار) که در ایران بمرحله اجرا در میاید محکوم میکند و در راه لغو مجازات اعدام گام بر خواهد داشت
ایکاوی قتلهای دولتی، ادم ربائی، حبس و تجاوز جنسی و شکنجه در زندان، زندان بدون محاکمه، و محاکمه بدون حضور وکیل مدافع و احکام طولانی بدون دلیل موجه قانونی را محکوم میکند.
ایکاوی بر این باور است که نهادینه کردن خشونت صرفنظر از نوع و شدت ان، خشونتهای سنتی و فرهنگی درون جامعه ایرانی را موجه جلوه داده و موجب افزایش جرم و جنایت در جامعه خواهد شد.
