In a structured early years music class, children are practising far more than melody and rhythm. They’re learning to take turns. To listen carefully. To follow patterns. To anticipate what comes next.

SPOTLIGHT ON OUR CLAYGATE CLASSES

We are so lucky to be able to host Monkey Music in the gorgeous Claygate Village Hall each Wednesday.

With a big, light, airy hall, oodles of free parking right outside, a fab playground round the corner and all the cute cafes and shops of Claygate close by, it's a perfect place for us.

Your teacher in Claygate is the wonderful Gemma, super-musical, warm and friendly and a fab sense of fun.....Gemma absolutely loves sharing our age-specific classes with everyone.

We currently have spaces for new families to come and try a free session with us in one of our four Wednesday groups:

10am - Jiggety-Jig for 2 & 3 year olds who are currently enjoying activities all about animals and where they live
10.40am - Heigh-Ho for 1 to 2 years - their theme until Easter is All About Animals
11.20am & 12noon - Rock'n'Roll for babies up to 11 months - for the next few weeks it's all about learning lots of songs about "Our Day" - Walking Round the Garden, We're Going Shopping, We're Driving in the Car and more!

Come and join us - we have music and dance, brilliant props and puppets, the most incredible sensory lights, parachutes, bubbles, hand-held percussion for each child and the chance to make new friends - see how music helps all areas of your child's development.

FUN FACT - 82% of grandparents have some childcare responsibility and we have LOTS of amazing Grannys and Grandads, Nannies and Pops, Grampies and Grammies who come to Monkey Music!

If you are planning to go back to work soon and your parents or in-laws are taking over, or if you are a Grandparent yourself and would love to join a welcoming, musical, friendly and fun activity, you will almost certainly NOT be the only ones in the group.

With structured, age-specific classes that suit your child perfectly, familiar songs as well as a huge curricula of our own, catchy tunes, props, puppets, singing, hand-held percussion and groovy movement - we know our classes are the highlight of the week for thousands of families and have been for over 30 years.

In fact, we have some Grandparents coming along with children who bought their parents along many years ago.
