This week, we’ll be making delicious vegetable pasta! 🍝🥦

We’ll practise measuring, chopping, and mixing ingredients together to create a tasty dinner.

Then, we’ll turn our focus to maths as we create a picture by matching numbers to different parts of the image. We’ll finish the session with some fun maths games! 🎲✨

A lovely mix of cooking, creativity, and learning.

Today at Baking Club, we’re making delicious gluten-free muffins and exploring the concept of time through fun, hands-on challenges!

The children will investigate how much they can achieve in 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, and 3 minutes — from rebuilding shapes and untangling ropes to constructing the tallest tower against the clock.

A lovely mix of baking, problem-solving, teamwork, and learning through play.

Learning is fun! 🧁⏱️✨

🧁 Baking Club This Week 🧁

This week, we’ll continue exploring the wonderful world of shapes!

We’ll be baking delicious cheddar sticks and investigating the properties of 3D shapes by building models with straws and clay.

If a shape has 12 edges, 8 vertices, and 6 faces, what could it be?

Welcome back after the half-term break! ✨🌈
Today will be about colour, creativity, and discovery! 🍓🍍🍇
We are making delicious Rainbow Fruit Kebabs, and then exploring shapes and patterns. 🔺⬜
Using small equilateral triangles and squares, we will investigate whether we could build bigger triangles and squares. We will also experiment with combining shapes to create exciting new patterns and designs! 🧩✨
Time for healthy treats, teamwork, and hands-on learning! 💛

Today in Baking Club, we’re making scrumptious cheddar biscuits 🧀✨ The children will practise accurate measuring and then make round biscuits. While they wait for the biscuits to bake, they’ll be counting in 2s and 5s as they explore different ways to organise and count the sticks in their envelopes ➗. They’ll then use the sticks to create their own imaginative designs 🎨 A perfect blend of maths, creativity, and delicious baking fun 🧁💛

This week at Baking Club, we’re baking up some delicious scones! 🧁✨
We’ll begin by measuring and mixing our ingredients to create perfectly round, tasty treats. Then we’ll observe our growing plants and get creative, using sticks and our own bodies as ‘vertices’ to build fun shapes together! 🌱🔺
To finish, it’s game time! We’ll take on a giant Dobble challenge and see who can spot the matching images the fastest. 👀🎯

This week at Baking Club, we’re rolling up sushi! 😄
We’ll be layering ingredients onto a sheet of seaweed, rolling it up, and slicing it into equal pieces.
But that’s just the start…
Once the sushi is done, another challenge begins:
🧠Solve a maths question and score a point.
⚽️Turn your points into shots on goal!

Baking Club this week:

We’re making delicious blueberry cupcakes while putting our maths skills into practice: measuring ingredients in grams, dividing the mixture as evenly as possible into 12 cupcakes, and timing them to perfection in the oven ⏱️

Then it’s time to get creative! We’ll combine maths and science by designing pots with different polygon patterns before planting seeds like leeks, sunflowers, and radishes 🌱

We will be making our very own garlic clock bread and enjoying every bite! 😋

Alongside our cooking, we will explore time by creating our own clocks and learn how to tell the time in a fun and interactive way. ⏰
