Why fight Crony Capitalism? Because cronyism is the most poignant characteristic of Corporate Capitalist political life. This feature is a daily occurrence everywhere in the Military-Industrial Complex of the American-led ‘international community’ - from the US, to Israel, Russia, Pakistan, India, Greece, Romania and so on - and it manifests itself in the first generation of politically active parents priming their children to transfer the power they have onto them.

Cronyism is that situation in which the powers-that-be in a state under their control get to prevent the separation of political, legal, and economic concerns thus ensuring that laws are applied selectively while contracts are awarded accordingly. Take the corrupt Romanian politicians, for instance, who have found the best short-cut to bleeding the country dry - they award their clients fat contracts in return for a share of the net profits. Romania’s wholesale privatisation has put all of its assets in the hands of around one thousand business people and local barons, kings of timber and other natural resources who own everything there is to own in the country. They work hand in hand with politicians who control the economy via some 1500 firms registered in off-shore tax havens.
