At lunchtime today pupils came together to celebrate the 2nd Eid of the year (Eid-Ul Adha) and enjoyed some delicious food and participating in an Eid quiz.

Different teachers gave a helping hand setting up the room and providing dishes. A massive shout out to Mdm Asam, Mdm Doran, Mdm Wellstead, Mdm Amin, Mr Ali, Mr Hussain, Mdm Dano, Mr Khalil, Mdm Khalid, Mdm Dilara, Mdm Nejad and Mr Haque. It was also lovely to see so many different staff and students popping in and showing their support!

Huge congratulations to Makayla in Year 10, who last week represented Debden Park High School at the Regional Finals of Jack Petchey's Speak Out at Becket Keys School in Brentwood. Makayla showed sheer determination on the night, and performed what was an incredibly passionate and beautifully delivered speech. As a school we are so proud!

The Books of the Month for spring are a collection of past Carnegie books.

The Carnegie Medal is a prestigious UK book award that annually honors an outstanding book written for children and young people. Every year we take part in this award process and our selected students will be voting for their favourite book, alongside posting reviews on the Carnegie website and taking part in activities and much more.
