If you think teaching freedomDANCE is mainly about playing good music, it’s worth pausing.

Music matters — a lot. But teaching asks for much more than musical taste or DJ skills.

Over time, I’ve come to see teaching as moving between three distinct roles:

- instructing,
- inspiring, and
- witnessing.

Each one matters. Each one asks something different of us.

In this framework, DJing belongs within instructing — but teaching doesn’t begin or end there.

Lifting the Curtain
A freedomDANCE Teacher Training Lab with Alex Svoboda and Friends

This workshop is designed as an introduction to our Level 1.1 teacher training for those who are interested in becoming freedomDANCE teachers.

Only three hours and so much to learn!

- Trying it out - you will put a teacher’s hat on!
- Three main components of freedomDANCE teacher training:
+ Your own freedomDANCE practice
+ A training module dedicated to teaching methods
+ Specially designed assignments
- Reflections and tips from graduates
- Getting your questions answered… by graduates and faculty!
- Practical steps to take in order to start your teacher training journey
- Costs and financial assistance opportunities

The cost is £33 and it’s counted towards your training module cost should you proceed with our training.
