Today, our pupils took part in an engaging workshop delivered by the London Air Ambulance Charity, where they learned about the vital role the air ambulance plays in saving lives. They explored what happens during emergency call-outs, who is on board the helicopter, local incidents including those in Redbridge, and the different parts of the aircraft and equipment used. Pupils were especially fascinated to learn about the many people and organisations involved in supporting the service, including how supporters’ names are printed underneath the helicopters. A huge thank you to the London Air Ambulance Charity for educating and inspiring our pupils. 🚁

While temperatures rise outside, learning stays cool at Winston Way Academy. ☀️❄️
Each and Every classroom at Winston Way is fully air-conditioned, helping to maintain consistent comfort throughout the day. Our classrooms provide a calm, cool environment where pupils can stay focused, engaged and ready to learn; whatever the weather brings.
In addition, as part of the Mayor of London’s Cleaner Air initiative, we’ve also installed high-quality “Blast” air purifiers in every room, ensuring clean, fresh air for both pupils and staff. 🌿
The right environment makes all the difference. Cool temperatures, clean air and comfortable spaces mean sharper focus, healthier classrooms and happier learners. It’s all part of our commitment to putting pupil and staff wellbeing first; every single day, whatever the forecast.
