Joaquín Gonzalez, CEO of CeroTrade, SBC ‘24 alumni, has been recognised among the MIT Innovators Under 35 LATAM by MIT Technology Review! 🌎

With CeroTrade, they’re building a digital clean energy bank that enables companies to acquire, store, transfer, and redeem renewable energy certificates, ensuring full traceability from generation to consumption and strengthening the credibility of environmental reports.

CeroTrade graduated from the Startupbootcamp accelerator program, where they were mentored by Claire Gentil, Natalia Espinoza Caballero, and angel investor & mentor Hans Peter Smit.

Throughout the program, they became part of the European innovation ecosystem within the climate-tech space, gaining access to a network of mentors and investors that continue to support their journey today.

Joaquín Gonzalez with his Cofounder and CTO Valentina De Vidts and the team now looks ahead to growing their client base, and work towards being the region’s leading environmental asset market and positioning Latin America as a global decarbonization leader.

RealRate, SBC ‘21 alumni, has been ranked #9 among the Top Insurance Companies & Startups in Germany by F6S! 🚀

RealRate is transforming the finance and insurance industry through explainable AI using fully transparent, data-driven methodology, to reveal key factors aiding in strategic decision-making.

RealRate graduated from the Startupbootcamp FinTech accelerator program in 2021, where they were mentored by Raoulvan Aalst, Vincent Vierhout, Jara Pascual, and Gijs Hoonhout. Throughout the program, they built a strong mentor and investor network, such as Great Stuff Ventures, whose ideas and collaboration have been invaluable along the way. The SBC FinTech ‘21 cohort marked a starting point of RealRate’s journey, shifting from developing AI to going to market and raising capital.

Holger Bartel, CEO of RealRate, shared that the team now looks ahead to evolving from the first AI rating agency to a general data provider, making AI explainable across the finance domain, with new applications in private equity, investment, and supply-chain analytics.
