Hands-on with hands on with hands on in general is the best way to learn๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

This weeks sessions with the kids was as great as always, squeals of delight as someone found 8 beans in a pod and great descriptives of how mycelium feel to touch.

Along with our other obsession is a close second.

Great work fam ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š

Wales has a lot of well kept secrets ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ท๓ ฌ๓ ณ๓ ฟ but I have a feeling this one isn't being kept by the people of Wales rather than being mentally blocked out and ignored by the people in power here in the UK.

I'm guessing if everyone knew that Wales had a law that focused on the Future generations, the land they are to inherit and the system that will govern them they would all want one!! Who wouldn't?

I met Jane Davison at Anthropy in Novemeber and her passion and love for the Enviroment and the state of it as it was passed down to future generations was more than infectious.

Over the last 15 years she has created and implemented the The Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act which places obligations on 44 public bodies in Wales to meet Well-being goals while maintaining the sustainable development principle.

The Act also establishes a Future Generations Commissioner for Wales as a new institution with responsibilities to advocate for future generations, to advise public bodies regarding their duties under the Act and to monitor and assess the improvements promoted by public bodies towards meeting wellbeing objectives.

Davison explained that we wouldn't be having issues with water companies flushing faeces into our rivers if we had legislation and regulatory bodies that protected the environment rather than commercial interests.

The book she has written is as inspiring as the women herself.

Maybe we should all be lobbying our governments for some common sense practical law making around subjects that literally shape our future ๐Ÿ’š

One of the main principles of all earth regeneration strategies is allowing animals to be the catalyst of change.

In city regeneration itโ€™s not so easy to include livestock.

The earthworm is one macro-organism we can view as an underground stock of live creatures that will help us make those necessary changes.

Bless ya and your work with the kids is invaluable.

Heads in worm bins eating tomatoes from the vine these kids have come along way and that's down to your kind gentle stewardship. ๐Ÿ’š

The work we do at Winterley Lane Allotments and is more important than ever as the government cuts local public spending.

After a long period of washing hands and being told to be afraid of all bacteria, it's no easy task asking our next generation to get down n dirty.

A few days away at Eden talking with CEOโ€™s of multinational companies about what the future holds for the UK and how we can do better for society, the planet and the only structure and power mechanism that stays around longer than a political term. Can business be the force for good? Who knows.. But the people we met this week are sure going to make it there life missions.๐Ÿ’š

If you don't like microbes your on the wrong planet -

Shouts to for my tub of made and Martyn from for the active and .doughnut for the chance to give their food grade sealable tubs a second and life.

As said โ€œcompetition must give way peacefully co-existence and shared prosperityโ€ we need to partner with microbes even closer than we are already to achieve what has never been achieved before.

The opportunity we have now in this time in history to right the wrongs of our recent ancestors is unparalleled.

It's time to use all the biological tools we have at our disposal to make things right.

Yes it's that time of year... But no I won't be doing a funny dance ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Never normally get Chinnese cabbage to a finished point as when they mature it's heading into autumn and winter and the slugs don't get hampered by early frosts anymore. They especially delight over Wong bok but a couple of applications of ultra wetting agent seems to have seen these beauties through.

โ€œTodayโ€™s Economy is divisive and degenerative by default, tomorrowโ€™s economy must be distributive and regenerative by Design.โ€

Was great to meet one of my 2022 heroes . And just as good to briefly get to chat to some the crew. What they are demonstrating in Ladywood is incredible and after all their hard work they are now publishing the first data sets demonstrating how regenerative inclusive practice can change society for the better.

The process is long it involves identifying how much we as a community are over shooting our planetary boundaries and who is being excluded from the basics in life. It then combines them with amazing tools to allow us to rectify these burning issues.

I really was in a place of wanting to tear the economy down before suggested I read Kates book โ€˜Doughnut Economicsโ€™ but now I'm hell bent on creating a better system that allows us to create a better more inclusive society that holds earth care and people care solidly at it core.
