When I first took lessons, I came to my guitar teacher very sleepy and unmotivated.
Everything felt difficult, and I didn't see any progress.
I barely practised, felt my high hopes begin to crush, and started to believe I wasn't going to be the guitar player I dreamt of being.
Luckily, I found my second guitar teacher who knew exactly how to help and lift my spirits.
In the first lesson, he gave me exercises (one of them is the same legato exercise I shared yesterday) that completely changed everything and gave me a solid foundation, confidence, and lots of motivation.
I'm sharing this story to tell you that if you feel any frustration, self-doubt, or lack of confidence in your guitar journey, it has nothing to do with you or with how you see yourself (you don't need "talent").
The negative thoughts and feelings come from the way you learned the guitar - whether it's from watching random YouTube videos, getting sterile advice from AI, or experiencing a bad teacher, as I had...
Whatever you're feeling - I've probably been there myself and am happy to share more stories if that'd help โค๏ธ๐ธ
The only legato exercise you need
Posted a new video on the legato exercise that helped me strengthen my fingers and play fluently.
It can be a bit boring - especially if you do it every day (you need to...)
But I show a simple way to have fun with it! ๐

Then it stops feeling like a drill.
This exercise is one of the first things I already put inside my new 5-5-5 Practice App.

My student thought he needed more theory to compose music on the guitar.
He was wrong. He didn't need more notes; he needed more ears.
Less thinking. Less ego. More listening.
Thatโs the secret to effortless composition. ๐ธ

Nothing's perfect.
But most guitarists wait until it is before they share anything.
And while they wait - they miss the feedback that actually
makes them better.
This week, two guitarists stopped waiting:
๐ฅ Craig's going live on YouTube for the first time (join and support him - link in the comment)
๐ฅ Luis just joined our community and already posted his first clip.
Both were nervous.
Both did it anyway.
Overcoming perfectionism.
Playing in front of others.
Conquering fears.
That's the real win ๐ธ

The 5-5-5 Practice Plan ๐ธ
You don't need 2 hours to get better at guitar.
Most guitarists either practice too long with no structure -
Or don't practice at all because they think they need more time...
In yesterday's VIP session, we broke down a simple practice system:
5 min: Technical skills
5 min: Ear training + Fretboard knowledge
5 min: Focused practice on ONE specific element
That last block is where the real magic happens ๐ฅ
Technique, knowledge, ear skills, phrasing, expression - all covered in 15 minutes a day.
The secret isn't more time. It's knowing exactly what to work on and how.
