✏️ Getting ready to write starts long before putting pencil to paper.

As part of our School Readiness Programme, children enjoy playful experiences like Doodle Dance, where they practise making big movements and shapes before gradually bringing these skills to paper.

Alongside stories and phonics, these experiences help children develop the early skills they’ll need for writing, while building their confidence as they get ready for school. 📚

The children at N Buckhurst Hill have been brushing up on their knowledge of Wassily Kandinsky! 🎨

As part of their Artist of the Month learning, the children continued their exploration of Kandinsky with a visit to Tate Modern. They had the opportunity to see abstract art up close, looking at how colour, shape, line and pattern can be used to express ideas and feelings.

The trip also gave the children the chance to experience more of London, from travelling on the Central Line to taking in the architecture and surroundings along the way. 🚇🏛️

It was a lovely opportunity for the children to take their exploration of Kandinsky beyond the atelier and into the gallery 🖼️

Just five minutes from Streatham Hill station, our beautifully restored Victorian villa is home to ten light-filled family rooms, a creative atelier and an incredible tiered garden, complete with a mud kitchen and dedicated baby area.

To support busy families, we’ve also included generous storage for buggies, bikes and scooters, making daily drop-offs and pick-ups that little bit easier. And our N Café, serving fresh coffee, tea and snacks, will help you start the day in just the right way! ☕️
