Hi everyone 👋 my name’s Kim and I’m your new Baby Sensory class leader in Muswell Hill and North Finchley. The new term starts in September and I can’t wait to meet you all ☺️.

After returning to work in March following baby number 3, I knew I needed a change - I wanted to do something that I felt passionate about, that would provide greater flexibility for my family, and where I felt part of a community. When the opportunity came up to take over the Muswell Hill area, I knew I had to take the leap!

The term may have finished, but we are continuing the fun with our summer classes over the next couple of weeks.

Tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday, the theme is 🏖️ Beach Party 🏖️.

We're ending the term with a bang!

This week's theme? Summer Fiesta!

Think salsa dancing, summer games, bold colours and music that makes your baby wiggle. It's the perfect way to wrap up the term - lively and full of joy.

What a week it has been across our Muswell Hill, North Finchley and Hampstead Garden Suburb classes.

I think it's fair to say the Sparkles theme was a hit.

When babies are born, sight is the least developed of all the senses, which is exactly why our year-long programme is full of activities with lights.

Watching little eyes follow them, tracking the movement, drawn in by the colour, is one of my favourite things to see in a Baby Sensory session.

We also explored object permanence today, and why it gives babies a helping hand through separation anxiety. It's amazing how much is going on under the surface of all that play.

This is only week two of the current term, and there are six more weeks of lovely classes ahead. So if you've been wondering whether to come along, it really isn't too late to join us.

Next week the theme is Rock and Roll, which I have a feeling the babies are going to love 🎷
