Berenice Beverley Zammit is a professional violinist working internationally with various orchestras and chamber ensembles such as the London Arts Orchestra, the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, and Quartetto Rinaldo Franci, among others. She is also an enthusiastic violin tutor and music educator with over 15 years of experience. Berenice currently teaches violin with the Royal College of Music's Te
aching Service coaching children and adults of all ages. She has also tutored violin at the Triborough Music Hub in London, Malta School of Music and the School of Performing Arts, Malta. Berenice is currently a PhD candidate at the Royal College of Music (RCM) where she is a holder of both the RCM Doctoral Bursary and the Leverhulme Postgraduate Award. In 2002 she was awarded the Istituto Italiano di Cultura Borsa di Studio to further her violin studies in Siena, Italy, where she graduated in violin performance with viola as her second instrument. Berenice continued her postgraduate studies at the RCM, graduating with a distinction in her Masters, generously supported by the Malta Arts Scheme. Berenice's violin tuition is the result of her own experience as a student of internationally acclaimed violinists the likes of Marco Fornaciari, Cristiano Rossi, Professor Michael Barta and Yuri Zhislin among others. As a PhD candidate and researcher, Berenice also infuses her teachings with cutting-edge research on performance preparation and performance psychology to help bring out every individual's maximum potential.
