Last month, we welcomed 300 students and teachers from across Medway to Rochester Cathedral for Medway Sings! 🎤

🎭Teachers joined us at a free CPD to prepare, before teaching their class songs from Mozart's The Magic Flute and joining together for a final culmination performance! Kent Music

History meets costume design! ✂️

Sandra and Jess visited Rockingham Junior and Infant School to deliver an RBO Schools Design workshop based around the class' topic of World War Two and the 1940s. 🌟

They explored ideas of 'make, do and mend' and imagined the stories and experiences of people who might have worn the garments. The class also got an insight into Jess' work as a set and costume designer at RBO. 🎨

Principal Dancer, Steven mcrae surprised students from Glenthorne High School with a special video message, thanking them for naming an award in his honour. 💙

We're so excited to announce that we've been shortlisted for a National Arts & Cultural Education Award! ♥️

RBO's Learning and Participation department has been nominated for the Power in Practice award. 🌟

This award recognises large organisations that have significant influence across the arts and cultural sector, championing an inclusive creative ecosystem and creating lasting impact at scale through outstanding work with communities, partners, and freelancers.

25 judges from across the arts, cultural and education sectors reviewed more than 250 submissions across all 10 award categories, and the standard was exceptionally high. Competition was fierce, so we’re incredibly proud to have made the shortlist.
