It’s Party, Party Time! Our Xmas Party this year is happening on Friday 2nd of December. We’re super excited to announce that this year we have opened up our party to all Toastmaster and their guests! We want to network people! The more the merrier… so do come along! Carole, our VP Events have secured us an incredible venue by the river, Hotel Rafayel and promises us an evening where we will be all entertained, merry, and dancing in Toastmaster Style! 🥳🤩😂🥳🥳

Our weekly meeting place, Freemasons' Hall will be closed tomorrow for Queen Elizabeth's 70th Jubilee Celebration! And we're off taking part in the festivities: street partying, flag waving and enjoying the extra long weekend... Hurrah!

The starts at 17:30 BST with the official opening ceremony.

Join us from 17:00, where you will be able to network with fellow Toastmasters and watch videos telling the story of how we got to this point, including the final Great Gavel Race video.

Is your club featured?

The first keynote speech is at 18:00 with Dele Ogun, and the Table Topics contest starts at 19:00, followed by Sonia Aste and friends with 'Toastmasters Can Do Stand-Up Comedy'. Get ready, it's going to be an awesome evening.

Congratulations to last week's best speaker, Dele Ogun! Dele is a seasoned speaker and we highly recommend attendance at the Toastmasters D91 Spring Conference this weekend to hear him speak!
Congratulations also to Becky, who won the table topic speech and Martina for delivering a wonderful evaluation.
We meet every Thursday at 7am - join us for fun and learning combined!

Congratulations to last week's prepared speech winner, Caroline, who had us mesmerized by her musings about identity and provenience... I'll like to think of myself as a Venn diagram' she told us - beautifully capturing her sentiments with witty humour.... Commendable!
Table topic winner, David left us wondering about the future, especially about the potential of relationships and frienships forming, growing and changing over the next five years... Finally, our winner evaluator Iain, gaves us even more reasons to appreciate the 'content and authenticity' of Caroline's speech. Brilliant!
