MYTH: Therapists give advice.

REALITY: Most therapists don’t tell you what to do.
Therapy isn’t about someone handing you the answers, it’s about helping you understand yourself, explore your options, and make decisions that align with your values and goals.
A therapist might offer perspective, challenge unhelpful patterns, or provide tools and strategies, but the goal is to empower you to trust your own judgement, not become dependent on someone else’s.

The answers are often already within you - therapy helps you uncover them.

Your mindset is the key to how you experience life.
Challenges will still come. People will still misunderstand you. Things won’t always go to plan. But when you learn to understand your thought patterns, manage your reactions, and take ownership of your perspective, everything shifts.

It’s not about controlling the world around you.
It’s about mastering what’s happening within you.

And when you do that, life doesn’t shake you the same way anymore.

My Personal Self Check-in

Self reflections can lead to good self realisations and personal discoveries that we have suppressed or avoided.

Here’s me answering the 3 questions from my previous post, unlocking emotional self awareness!
Even as a counsellor it’s challenging. I highlight all my moments too!
Give it a try! And tag me in your video if

How often do you actually check in with yourself - beyond “I’m fine”?
A quick self check-in can tell you a lot about what you’re carrying, avoiding, or needing right now. Try asking yourself these 3 questions regularly:
• How am I really feeling today?
• What is draining me this week?
• What have I been avoiding?
Answer yourself honestly, with no judgement. Awareness is the first step toward change, healing, and understanding yourself better 💜

When one door closes, it’s easy to focus on the loss.

But sometimes that closed door isn’t a punishment—it’s protection.
Sometimes it’s redirection.
Sometimes it’s making room for opportunities you couldn’t have reached if you’d stayed where you were.

Not every ending is a setback. Some endings are the beginning of the life you’ve been growing into.

Trust that what is meant for you won’t require you to force it. Keep showing up, keep growing, and keep moving forward. The next door may lead you somewhere better than you imagined.
