Work is now under way to operate a face to face PAvCon Europe in Weiner Nuestadt, Austria in early June 2022. Details on www.pavconeurope.eu

Sadly, the PAvCon Europe event scheduled for 8-9-10 June 2020 at the Bundespolizei HQ in central Berlin, Germany was cancelled earlier today due to growing Coronavirus issues and the need for the Bundespolizei to meet the event and gathering guidelines of its government.

Although this decision is regrettable, fortunately the planning for PAvCon Europe 2020 was at a sufficiently early enough stage to ensure the losses are minimised. www.pavconeurope.eu

Next year the PAvCon Europe Conference is scheduled to take place at the Luxembourg Police air support unit on a date to be announced in May or June 2021.

Now available on the website www.pavconeurope.eu is the exhibition floor plan. Three floors this year so that is going to be different - challenging perhaps - but the latest up date on exhibitors and position take-up is available if you e-mail the office!

Welcome To PAvCon Europe

And we are off with the first confirmed booking for PAvCon Europe 2020 in Berlin. Not really news because I did not have the forms to be filled in until this week and the people making the booking were asking for them in November. Now two days into the New Year the forms are filled in.
We maybe distancing the UK from Europe but PAvCon Europe is specifically designed to maintain connections between all police aviators and it is all run from a small town in Essex.

A bit of a busy few days around the New Year getting the paperwork ready for the next PAvCon Europe in Berlin in just six months time.

A number of information and booking files were posted to the website www.pavconeurope.eu today. This gives the date, time, place and the best hotels to book into if making the best of the event.

Some of the details are provisional and the information will be added to in coming days. We have no floor plan to create details of the exhibitor space at the moment, or a sponsorship guide but it will all arrive on view when it is good and ready!

Oh, and if that were not enough, the latest edition of Police Aviation News has been posted on its dedicated website at www.policeaviationnews.com ! Busy, busy, busy.

The booking forms should appear from mid-December. I am meeting the Bundespolizei in Berlin on December 12 to make sure there are no untoward surprises.
All being well the pricing should reflect those last year.

This year’s PAvCon 2019 has been voted “the best ever” by those who attended. From Monday’s training day through to the exhibition and conference of Tuesday and Wednesday, the event has been heralded as a great success (considering with six weeks to go there was no event!). Thanks due to the National hosts, The Netherlands Police, and Harald Brink in particular for his hard work bringing Monday’s training day together.

Due thanks also to the Renaissance Hotel, Schiphol Airport for pulling out all the stops to make the show and associated events a great success.

The plan for next year is to be in Berlin, but as usual all the formalities have to be put in place and agreed. Once completed an official date will be announced.

The hotel is ready and Clay Lacey has his class underway in the police air unit - the main event is opening tomorrow.
