From 1 September 2026, you will be contacted to take part in the Graduate Outcomes Survey, the UK’s largest national survey exploring what graduates go on to do after completing their studies.

🎓 What advice would you give your first-year self?

As students across the country make decisions about their next chapter this Clearing, we're looking back at some words of wisdom from our newest Middlesex graduates.

Our latest MDX Voices blog features Middlesex University alumna Cristina Prudente (Maria), who studied Fine Art with Art Practice in the Community.

Maria combined her passion for art with a commitment to social justice. Today, she uses creativity to support young people, build confidence and resilience, and create opportunities for those who need them most.

Her latest project, funded by Arts Council England, will work with young people at the Feltham Young Offenders Institution, using painting and photography to inspire hope, self-belief, and positive futures.

Maria's story is a powerful reminder that the impact of an MDX education extends far beyond graduation. Your skills, passion, and creativity can make a real difference in the lives of others.

🌟 We're delighted to celebrate the achievements of MDX alumna Post Dr. Saima Eman (MSc Applied Psychology, 2008), whose pioneering research is helping to advance understanding of adoption and identity in Pakistan and beyond.

Dr Saima is now seeking to expand her research to the UK, exploring how adoptees understand and navigate their identity. This important study aims to examine both the opportunities and challenges associated with being identified as an adoptee.

🔎 Research Collaboration Opportunity
Dr Saima is looking for an enthusiastic UK-based researcher with experience in qualitative research to support the project.

Responsibilities may include:
▪️ Supporting ethical approval processes in line with the British Psychological Society requirements
▪️ Developing and refining the research methodology
▪️ Recruiting participants within the UK
▪️ Conducting interviews
▪️ Analysing qualitative data and contributing to the project's findings

Potential funding opportunities may be explored through the British Psychological Society.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful research with the potential to enhance understanding of adoption and identity in the UK.
