We're pitching a short and fast turnaround doc to a major music label - shooting would be throughout feb and the beginning of March focusing on a new girl band and the young female manager trying to shake up the industry. BBC Studios is investing in the next generation of EastEnders multi-cam directors to work alongside our incredible cohort of established directors.

In this course led by an experienced multi-camera director with decades of experience in the field, it will comprise a mixture of classroom and practical days that will upskill the successful applicants in the fine art of shooting with multiple cameras; from planning and blocking complex scenes to bringing them to life on the sets of EastEnders.

We're looking for established directors with at least 2 hours' broadcast credits; multi-camera directors from light entertainment and events; theatre directors with at least 2 produced credits with an established theatre; actors with a background in soap; and established First ADs, Vision Mixers of Script Supervisors who are seeking to carve out their next career step.

After the success of the Fresh Cuts strands in 2022 and last year, ITV and MultiStory Media, part of ITV Studios, are proud to launch Fresh Cuts 2024 through the Diversity Commissioning Fund.

We are looking for Black and/or Disabled, and/or Deaf, and/or Neurodivergent content creators, Producer/Directors (PDs) and DV Directors without a credit as a Producer/Director or Director with at least three years of television/film production or content creation experience.
