Only 1 in 3 children now read in their free time, highlighting the importance of keeping reading for pleasure at the heart of education. The recent recommendation for a National Decade of Reading reflects something many educators already know: building a reading culture takes time and sustained effort.
Every day, schools across our Accelerated Reader community help pupils discover books they enjoy, develop confidence as readers and build lifelong reading habits.
Thank you for everything you do to inspire the next generation of readers.
