This exhibition, developed by Li-Qi Saw and her fashion design students at Morley College Chelsea Centre, shows work in response to the The Long Now exhibition, creating a dialogue between contemporary art and fashion design.
After visiting the show, students from the UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma (Year 2) in Fashion, Textiles and Communication selected works which resonated with them and drew on their themes, forms, textures and concepts to inform their own creative process.
This is an outsanding opportunity for young talented designers to show their pieces at a renowed gallery and a great experience for the class π

Opening next week: Setsu Waters: Jewellery and Objects β¨
This memorial exhibition celebrates the life and work of Morley College jewellery student Setsu Waters (1951β2025), an accomplished jeweller whose refined craftsmanship, elegant forms and distinctive artistic voice left a lasting impression on all who knew her work.
Born in Tokyo and later settling in England, Setsu developed a remarkable creative practice rooted in patience, precision and imagination. Her jewellery combines finely crafted metalwork with richly coloured enamel and carefully selected gemstones, alongside a series of beautifully made objects that reflect the same thoughtful attention to detail.
Setsu studied at Morley College and the School of Master Jewellers in Birmingham. In 2023, she received two Gold Awards and one Silver Award at the prestigious Goldsmithsβ Craft and Design Awards, recognising both her technical excellence and innovative design.
Friends, tutors and fellow students remember Setsu not only for her talent, but also for her warmth, kindness and generosity of spirit. This exhibition brings together a selection of her jewellery and objects in celebration of her life, creativity and artistic achievement.
The exhibition will be on display in the Barbara Christie Case in the foyer at Morley College Waterloo Centre.
