Homestay families wanted in Lincoln, Bath, Bristol and Cambridge to host students during term time and school holidays. This will be once the schools are open again. We have a COVID-19 policy and will safeguard our students and hosts.
Host as little or as much as you want! This is an ongoing recruitment.

A thorough vetting of families will be required including DBS checks as apart of our safer recruitment policy and our commitment to safeguarding.

It's near the holiday and if your host student didn't go back to their home country, its great to stock or stream family-friendly movies and watch it with them to cope up with homesickness.

A good host family demonstrates flexibility when little things and big things come up. Flexible families are able to find many different solutions to help them to achieve what’s most important.

Set reasonable rules to help keep the student safe. This may include things like a curfew, checking in with a host parent during late excursions with friends and advice on safety in the local area such as avoiding certain areas of town. An ideal host family understands that having and following safety rules is a good thing.

This is obvious, but you really want families who act like a family. You eat dinner together on a table and engage in conversation. You may not always agree, but they do listen to one another. You spend evenings and weekends together and understand the value of “family time”. A student would really appreciate this and a bond with them is really important

It's pretty much inevitable: The student you host will miss home. It's nothing against you and your hospitality. There's no place like home. Just let your student know, it takes time to adjust.
