Welcome to the Play House, we are a nurturing childcare setting.

We have the feel of a 'mini-nursery' while retaining the benefits of being an Ofsted registered childminder working with three assistants to make learning fun in a small nursery at home.

What a fun morning here is the story of our day;

Today we took a trip to Chislehurst High Street. We took the small single decker bus (162) up to the ponds. Once at the ponds we stopped to see the ducks, we saw ducklings and a heron. We then walked around the pond to HRH 'Pond Bear' with his binoculars.

We carried on down the High Street stopping in at the Old Chapel to meet "Lord of The Manor" bear. We continued along the High Street to go shopping in Sainsbury's. We chatted about all the different things we saw on the shelves. We found a picture of a dog that looked like Timmy's dog Casper, picked out spaghetti for lunch and got chilly on the meat aisle. We found the fruit and each group chose a fruit to buy with their teacher.

We took our fruit to the checkout where everyone got the opportunity to place a coin on the slot.

We then continued along the High Street visiting the Library Bear currently residing in his temporary bear enclosure. We ate our snacks on the bench before crossing over to visit "Ron the Mountain Rescue Bear" (with permission from the house owners).

We then took the big double decker (160) nearly all the way home, enjoying walking home through the green! Ready to make our fruit salad.

Once home after washing our hands the children took turns to cut up the fruit ready for the fruit salad. They each used a knife and were shown how to cut safely and to place the fruit in the bowl ready to share. They were able to explore the fruit by smelling, touching and talking about each fruit.

After Spaghetti Bolognese the children were able to serve themselves and enjoy their fruit salad! Everyone loved the fruit!

One of our favourite outings our Bear Hunt in the local community!

The children made us very proud and listened really well, following instructions and taking care of themselves and others when navigating their community!

We started by playing team games 'I roll the ball to...', 'Duck Duck Goose' and Race to the colour cone. We then sat for storytime, joining in with the rhymes, words and actions of the story 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt. We then began our bear hunt looking high and low, going through the 'swishy grass' and 'deep dark forest'. We found six bears and had snack time in the woods, taking time to climb the fallen branches. We then carefully navigated ourselves over the river (not through it!) finding another bear.

We then found the park and played on most of the equipment! The children then all walked home hand in hand! We had a fabulous morning! Happy times for all!
