Very delighted to have just finished another translation assignment for an important group of companies in Monaco. Hi to my students and supporters, now that life is a little calmer, I'm getting back in touch. It's been a very busy period, including fabulous trips to Crete, Carcasonne, Arles, St Tropez, the winelands of the Var and memorable birthday events in Monaco and London. Hi, I hope you enjoyed world English Language Day yesterday!! Personally I was busy all day, tutoring and coaching in our wonderful language - a language which is spoken by over 1.5 billion people worldwide, is the primary language in 67 countries, and is taught in schools in over 100 countries. No surprises then that people who speak English are more likely to get the University of their choice, do better in higher education and succeed in high-level, higher-paid jobs..... At the moment, I have a couple of slots available for adult tutoring in the mornings and I am also preparing my summer programme, which includes revision/catch-up activities, intense crash courses, CVs, university application preparations and coaching for the important, globally recognised qualifications TOEFL and TOEIC . First session today with another lovely new professional client, a young woman at a high intermediate level seeking a mix of private tuition and group conversation. I am thinking to re-start my professional women's group - this could comprise a mix of Zoom sessions and a face to face conversation group once or twice a month for coffee or apero at either Nice or Monaco train station.
