Here at The Wellbeing Games we are huge admirers and supporters of the Mental Health Foundation and World Mental Health Day.
The theme this year is all about prioritising mental health and wellbeing. So we’ve linked to their best mental health tips, because as they say about mental health care:
“It’s a bit like brushing your teeth every day – important in preventing problems.”
👇 You may know some of these tips for better mental health and some may be new to you, but either way, we think you should have a read and take time to build a routine of preventative care for your mental health.

Can your employees openly and without judgement or fear of resentment say “My mental health is not great today, I need to press pause” or “I’m really struggling here and I need your support.”?
At The Wellbeing Games we believe that this level of openness in a psychologically safe environment should be the norm.
We want teams that communicate and support each other through good and bad days without being in a working situation that negatively impacts them when they do so.
Do you have structures and initiatives in place to really support your employees at this level?

Building good workplace wellbeing practices, is not just about providing initiatives but instilling a psychologically safe environment. And a workplace that gives employees the time and space to build their wellbeing is vital to making these initiatives work.

Learning to let go of the things we can’t or don’t need to control is a big lesson for us all.
❤️ Can you relate?

It’s all very well having a workplace wellbeing initiative in place, but if your employees are too overloaded to participate then it’s, frankly, as useful as a chocolate teapot.
With 86% of workers admitting they have “too much work” to enable them to move during the working day (*according to the HR News article linked below), workplaces need to transform from all angles.
So yes, get a wellbeing initiative or platform in place (ahem.. The Wellbeing Games!) but ensure that you have a workplace wellbeing strategy in place that enforces equality throughout your organisation and ensures that everyone can take part.
