Our latest Bolder Academy newsletter is now live!

As we come to the end of another inspiring term, we are proud to celebrate the many achievements, experiences and successes across our school community.

From national competitions and sporting events to trips, leadership opportunities and enrichment activities, our students have continued to show resilience, creativity, teamwork and ambition in all they do.

We are especially proud of our Year 11 students as they begin their GCSE exams with maturity and determination, and we thank all staff and families for their continued support throughout the term.

With plenty still to look forward to this year, we wish everyone a restful and enjoyable half term break!

Our Year 10 Design and Technology students explored the world of tech innovation at a Makeathon in Central London, going head-to-head with other schools. They were tasked with designing, creating and marketing prototype wearable technology focused on accessibility. The day culminated in their designs being brought to life and modelled on a catwalk.

We’re proud to see Bolder Academy featured by Sky News as part of an important conversation around educating young people about abuse against women and girls.

At Bolder, we believe education goes beyond the classroom. Creating a culture of respect, empathy and healthy relationships is essential in helping young people challenge harmful behaviours and support one another.

Thank you to director Andrew ‘Bernie’ Bernard for sharing such a powerful and personal story with our students, encouraging open conversations about masculinity, respect and recognising the warning signs of abuse.

These discussions matter, and we’re committed to continuing them.

Our Sixth Form students attended the UCAS Fair at Farnborough Airfield Exhibition last week. This was an incredibly valuable and insightful experience, helping them navigate their next steps beyond Sixth Form. Students had the opportunity to speak directly with universities they’re interested in, as well as connect with organisations offering degree apprenticeships and apprenticeship pathways.

Providing opportunities like this is essential in supporting our students to make informed choices and move forward with confidence towards successful future careers.
