4H visited the National Gallery recently and enjoyed a talking tour entitled Religion in Art. We studied a number of paintings with our tour guide and acted as detectives, spotting signs and symbols within these paintings that told us something more about it.
In particular we noticed St Peter who was in one of the paintings. In RE recently, we found out that he was the first Pope, chosen by Jesus, and in the painting was carrying a church in his arms.
We all enjoyed our lunches and had such a great day out that a few of us had a snooze on the bus on the way home!

Last week in Reception, we were enjoying the beautiful weather and taking our lessons outside. We have been playing with water and slime and beginning to explore our 5 senses with different fruits and vegetables at snack time. We also had some exciting visitors come and visit us in class. POLICE OFFICERS! We asked them lots of questions about their jobs and they showed us their uniform - even the handcuffs!

We held a whole-school assembly to celebrate the winners of our British Science Week poster competition. Children were challenged to answer a scientific question they were curious about, and the entries were fantastic. The standard was so high that it made judging extremely difficult!
Congratulations to all of our winners across each key stage — we truly have some amazing scientists in our school. A special well done to our Science Ambassadors, who confidently led the assembly with support from our Science Coordinator, Miss Denis. They wowed us with exciting experiments, showing that science really is all around us.

Today, on Good Friday, we recall the unforgettable performance of our Year 5 pupils.
They presented the most reverent and moving version of the Passion of Jesus.
From his death to resurrection, they took us on a powerful journey through one of the most important events in Christianity.

Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed attending the Kensington & Chelsea Junior Citizenship Scheme last week. They had the opportunity to speak with different agencies including The Metropolitan Police, The London Ambulance Service and TFL Citizens. The scheme provided a fantastic opportunity for the children to engage in a variety of scenarios, take part in interactive learning tasks and ask lots of questions.

This half term in DT 4H were devising their own pneumatic device to make a monster move! Children used a syringe pump, tube and balloon to make the monster’s tongue inflate. It was plenty of fun and some children want to try something similar at home over the holidays. Watch out for your bicycle pumps parents!
